He earned his Bachelor of Science in Nutrition & Food Science from the University of California at Berkeley in 1986 and his Master of Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine from the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 1991. Benjamin has been licensed since 1992 by the California Acupuncture Board, and has both taken and produced numerous continuing education classes to further his growth and development within Chinese medicine.
Benjamin has worked in a variety of private and non-profit clinic settings in the San Francisco Bay Area, treating a wide variety of disorders, including pain and musculo-skeletal, digestive, allergies, insomnia, gynecology, HIV/AIDS & chronic illness, and stress.
Benjamin was the Academic Dean and a professor at the Acupuncture & Integrative College in Berkeley, one of the preeminent educational institutions for learning the medicine in the Western world. When not helping patients, Benjamin is the proud father of two healthy and flourishing daughters and tries to walk his talk with meditation, running, dancing, yoga, and healthy food fusion experiments.
